All Lynwood Unified Schools Recognized with PBIS Awards for Fostering Positive Campus Culture

Lynwood Unified School District schools have been recognized with Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) awards for their standout efforts in fostering positive campus climates and creating engaging school environments in which students feel safe, valued, engaged and respected.

For the second year in a row, the California PBIS Coalition awarded accolades to all 17 Lynwood Unified campuses for implementing the proactive system, which establishes behavioral supports and social culture that empowers students to achieve social, emotional and academic success in and out of the classroom.

Lynwood Unified’s PBIS award winners are as follows:

Firebaugh High School

Lincoln and Rosa Parks elementary schools and Cesar Chavez Middle School

Helen Keller, Lugo, Marshall and Washington elementary schools, Hosler Middle School and Lynwood High School

Abbott, Lindbergh, Mark Twain, Roosevelt, Will Rogers and Wilson elementary schools and Vista High School

Lynwood Unified has implemented PBIS into every facet of campuses – with collaboration from teachers, administrators and classified employees – to ensure school is a positive and effective experience for all students.
