Lynwood Unified’s Early Childhood Education (ECE) program is currently accepting applications for its free- to low-cost preschool program for children as young as 2 1/2 years old at its centers at Will Rogers and Lindbergh elementary schools.
Enrolled students are provided nutritious meals and engaging learning opportunities during its part-day and full-day options, which range from 7:15 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. To qualify, children must be 3 years old by December 1, 2025.
In addition to early literacy and mathematical concepts, the ECE program also allows students to develop their speech, social and motor skills. From structured learning activities in the classroom to movement sessions with engaging obstacle courses outdoors, this program ensures Lynwood’s youngest learners have fun as they start their educational journeys.
“Our goal is to start the joy of learning and education at the youngest ages, supporting our students to learn through play," ECE Coordinator Courtney Gillette said. “We bring in real-world experiences, where they get things like animals and science experiments coming right to them in our centers so that they have the love of learning instilled.”
Enrollment is open year-round, allowing families the flexibility to apply whenever they're ready to start their child’s educational journey.
We would love to share our program’s benefits and have your child join our early learning school community. For more information on enrolling your student in the ECE program, visit the website, apply here or call (310) 604-3063.
